The Event Coordinator plans, promotes, and hosts engaging activities that bring residents together and strengthen the Edgewater Roleplay Community. This position works with community leadership, departments, businesses, and residents to maintain a fun and active event schedule.

About the Role

The Event Coordinator is responsible for developing creative weekly activities, seasonal celebrations, community gatherings, and roleplay events. Duties include scheduling events, preparing announcements, coordinating locations and participants, hosting activities, and encouraging resident involvement.

The coordinator will work closely with the Marketing and Events Manager and Community Management to ensure events are organized, inclusive, properly promoted, and consistent with Edgewater’s community standards. The position may also assist county departments and local businesses with special events and collaborative roleplay opportunities.

Requirements

Must be friendly, dependable, organized, and professional.
Must have good communication and teamwork skills.
Must be able to plan and host events regularly.
Must provide reasonable notice if unable to host a scheduled event.
Must be comfortable working with residents, businesses, departments, performers, and community leadership.
Must be able to create clear event announcements and promotional posts.
Must be willing to maintain or assist with the community events calendar.
Must create welcoming events for both new and established residents.
Must be able to follow Edgewater policies and the established chain of command.
Must keep in-character and out-of-character situations separate.
Must have access to Discord and be willing to use Edgewater’s website and event systems.
Previous event-planning or roleplay experience is preferred but not required.
Applicants must be willing to complete an interview and any required orientation or training.
